I made the list!

Jan 24, 2011 by

I try to count my blessings as often as possible, especially when things aren’t going too well. This week was an incredibly intense and challenging one at work, where I put in far more than 40 hours slogging through a time-sensitive project with a bunch of my coworkers. In the middle of all that, just when I was feeling sorry for myself, one of my biggest blessings – amazing friends – popped up to smack me out of my pity party.

Thus did I discover that my wonderful friend, renowned blogger and nonprofit thought leader Rosetta Thurman, had included me in her list of “Top 10 Young Nonprofit Bloggers to Watch in 2011.” Having Rosetta has a friend has brought me all kinds of joy and good things, and this surely rates in the top of that list of good things.

I’m really honored to be included in such an inspiring, smart and motivated group of young nonprofit bloggers. A long time ago I wrote about the so-called leadership crisis in the nonprofit sector. If there is a crisis, you can be sure that this group of stellar people will be there to lead us through it and keep us moving forward to an even better place.

I don’t think it’s surprising to anyone that knows you that you made that list. You’d make the 10 Ten Young Nonprofit LEADERS to watch list too.
